South Africa is not creating enough jobs for the number of graduates and matriculants
seeking to enter the job market every year and the recent 2022 graduates will not be
different. This is worsened by the youth (15 - 24) unemployment rate racing towards the
60% figure, according to Statista.com (Q3: 2022). South Africans should seriously consider creating their own employment opportunities through the establishment of small business initiatives, says the Financial Sector Conduct Authority’s (FSCA) Head: Consumer Education, Mr. Lyndwill Clarke.
