FICA COMPLIANCE #101
We are excited to launch our FICA Compliance #101 Manual for Members.
Since 19 December 2022, all Credit Providers were included in a piece of legislation that must be complied with and in terms of which your business must be registered as an Accountable Institution with the Financial Intelligence Centre (“FIC”). This piece of legislation is THE FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE CENTRE ACT (“FIC Act”).
We approached industry experts to compile this manual for our members.
It must be noted that this manual, the examples, and especially the template formats cannot, and should not be construed as legal advice, and it is always recommended that any deviation from the facts as described in the examples be referred to a legal practitioner for the proper consideration.
