As the 'trusted voice of responsible micro financiers in South Africa', MicroFinance South Africa (MFSA) is a representative body of registered and legal Microfinance Credit Providers.
Our organisation currently represents more than 1300 Microfinance Credit Providers offices registered with the National Credit Regulator and the majority of significant Service Providers in the Sector. The Service Providers services ranges from Loan Administration, payment systems, Credit Life, Legal Services and Credit Bureau’s.

MFSA is a member organisation, governed and overseen via a structure which includes an annual general meeting and an elected board with working board committees. MFSA is registered as a Section 21 Company (1996/001116/08) with Snijder & Associates the appointed auditors and Nedbank as the appointed MFSA business banker.
MFSA members subscribe to a Code of Conduct which ensures and facilitates professional, legal and ethical conduct.
As a member organisation, a major part of the focus of MFSA’s operational impact is determined through annual member contact sessions at regional locations throughout the country, together with a main annual general meeting and conference held at a central venue. These sessions provide the opportunity for members and MFSA management to interact and are an excellent platform for professional networking and the promotion of individual business products and services.
